The design phase includes:
Identification of the client’s goals and objectives for the new Web site
Identification of the target audience.
Review of any visual elements, color schemes, styles or copy from the client’s existing marketing materials that may be used or adapted for the Web Specification of the primary action the client hopes the target user will take before leaving the site Development of a site map to show layout and function of all pages Brainstorming to explore various design directions or “looks” for the site Creation of a protosite or rough draft for client review and approval Testing/proofing/fine-tuning the site Installation of site files on the host Web server of the client’s choice. (Web hosting and Domain registration fees are not included in the design cost.)
